DX Ireland and the IPU partnership for members setting up a DX Ireland account
The following information below details the steps required to set up an account with DX Ireland and to avail of this service. It is also worth noting that as well as sending the claim forms monthly to the PCRS you can also send registered mail through our network using your same local Document Exchange. The only criteria is that it must be a registered letter addressed to a business address and not a residential address. This service will be charged at the same rate as the movement of the claim forms at €6.48 per envelope or package.

DX will send you out via email the necessary forms to fill in, sign and date etc. Once returned we will set up your account with DX so you can avail of the service. The setting up period is usually 4-5 working days. There are 3 areas to sign and date on the forms, as well as a Direct Debit mandate to fill in and sign. The paperwork that you sign is the standard paperwork that all Solicitors, Barristers, Opticians and Auctioneers sign in order to use the document
exchange service. These forms are only required to be filled in for first year of your membership with DX.

The annual subscription to use the document exchange service is €45 ex VAT for IPU members (this fee is payable once a year), this will be taken via DD at the start, when the account is being set up. The cost of each delivery of the PCRS bag is €6.48 ex VAT. The cost of a registered letter will also be at €6.48 per envelope ex VAT. The invoicing for the movement of the documents will be every 3 months and then a DD will be taken from your account 14 days after that. You can also send other parcels to business addresses through the service weighing up to 25kg in weight to Ireland and NI.

Once the account is set up DX will get you set up on your computer in the pharmacy to allowyou to print off a label to your A4 printer, this is a track and trace label that will be put on the PCRS claims bag or an envelope for a registered letter. This is a web based system that is called DX Despatch and is a very user friendly system.

We have 265 document exchanges throughout Ireland, many of which are located in a solicitor’s office in a city or a town and the exchange is usually located in the lobby of the building. They can be accessed 5 days a week between 9am and 5pm. When you enter, you will place your registered DX post or your claim forms bag in the onwards box. The box will be collected by our driver after 6pm and then will get delivered the next working day to its destination. When your account is set up we will advise you of the nearest local exchange to your pharmacy.

Finally when submitting a request to get your DX account set up we would need your official company name and also your trading name.
